Recording - When recording to a Luma NVR, all 4 channels of the WPS-300-ENC-4IP can be recorded in continuous mode. However, only 1 of the 4 channels can have its motion events captured. If you wish to capture motion recordings, be sure the camera of interest is plugged into channel 1 of the 4ch encoder.

RS485 Camera Control
The RS485 connection provides control over detailed camera options directly from the encoder’s web user interface. This same connection and interface can be used to control 3rd party analog PTZ cameras as well. When combined with a Wirepath NVR, this connection enables direct camera configuration through the NVR’s interface.
Sound the Alarm
If contact inputs and trigger outputs seem like features only available on an NVR, then you haven’t met our IP encoders! Connect a driveway sensor, door contact, external motion or other sensors to trigger recording events and other auxiliary alarms - with or without an NVR.
Back-Up Storage with Optional SD Card
For sophisticated surveillance systems, redundancy is key. With optional edge storage, you don’t have to worry about lapses in recording. A SD card slot makes for fast and easy local recording, and recordings can be viewed through a web browser once the network is restored. You have complete control over when it records and what triggers it.


Bi-Directional Audio
Sometimes listening just isn't enough. Sometimes you need to talk to the person on the other end. Audio inputs to the encoder enable you to do this right through Internet Explorer on your PC! There are a number of applications where you want the person on the other end to know you're listening.
Dynamic DNS Support
Instead of searching your records for cumbersome IP addresses, Dynamic DNS provides a permanent, easy-to-remember name that never changes - even if the customer’s home is assigned a new IP address by the service provider. Our free WirepathDNS service is fast and easy to set up and it provides maximum uptime.
User Access Levels
With the ability to set specific user access levels, you control who sees which cameras, and who is allowed to adjust important settings. So you can give the pool guy access to see a few specific cameras, but nothing more. And you can provide your tech with the ability to change settings but not view any video - making your customer’s privacy considerations a priority.
